Beautiful skies…first day on my skis for the 2012 season, in Courmayeur, me and my great friend Metello. I leave Biella around 8 a.m.……apparently the bill chill has gone away..…3° Celsius. Here I am in Courmayeur: we begin skiing only around 11 o’clock…hot chocolate with a good espresso coffee poured in it….a great Italian invention! Three hours on the slopes: winter snow is so incredibly fluffy….We ski calmly…..Metello is the perfect guide but I wear an helmet, he doesn’t. Mont Blanc is covered with powder snow: there must be some wind up there, as snow clouds can be seen against the blue sky. The sun is warm here and the temperature is 0°C. Climbing up with the cable car, the panorama is gorgeous…how small we are before such a Beauty…..
